1️⃣ Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
Roll out the puff pastry slightly and prick it all over with a fork to prevent rising.
Place it between two baking sheets (to keep it flat) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
Let it cool, then cut into three equal rectangles.
2️⃣ Make the Pastry Cream:
Heat milk in a saucepan until warm (don’t boil).
In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
Gradually pour warm milk into the mixture, whisking continuously.
Return to heat and cook until thick and creamy.
Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla, and let it cool.
3️⃣ Assemble the Mille-Feuille:
Place one pastry sheet on a serving plate.
Spread half of the pastry cream, then add another pastry layer.
Spread the remaining cream and place the last pastry sheet on top.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
4️⃣ Make the Glaze & Decoration:
Mix powdered sugar with milk to make a thick glaze.
Spread it evenly over the top layer of the pastry.
Drizzle melted chocolate in thin lines and use a toothpick to create a decorative pattern.
